Chadoora residents protest over shifting of Degree College | KNO

Budgam, March 05 (KNO) : The residents of Chadoora and adjacent areas Tuesday stage a protest against the shifting of Degree College from main town Chadoora to Wathoora Chadoora. The protest was held in Sub District Magistrate (SDM) office at Chadoora. Protesters told KNO that that the Degree College was allotted to Chadoora Municipality. “Authorities inspected the site where the college was to be constructed, and were satisfied with the land provided for the college premises, but without notification the said college was shifted to Wathora," they said. The protesting senior residents of the area demanded that the college be established at the already discussed site. “The authorities inspected the site for construction of the college at Chadoora but unfortunately the college was shifted to Wathora area within no time’' said Er Muzafar an independent Candidate Of Chadoora constituency. SDM Chadoora told KNO that the decision was taken by higher authorities. "We have land available at Wathora and we selected it," he said. (KNO)
